The Lorenz?s knew they would adopt even before they were married. Rick was adopted as an infant and Melissa spent a brief amount of time in Foster Care as a small child as well as being ?adopted in heart? by her stepfather. They both also realize that we all live as orphans and are adopted into God?s family by Jesus? saving Grace.  Despite the knowing that there would someday be an adoption the journey has been pretty twisty and at times there have even been roadblocks.   But that ?Broken Road? has led them straight to Reece?s Rainbow and little Liza. 

Rick and Melissa met in the church they both attended about five years ago and have been married four this summer. Before this Melissa was a single parent who was beginning to think her dream of having more children ?someday? was only a dream and wondered why substituting for the Special needs classrooms brought so much joy.  Rick was a single father whose youngest child kept him busy every other weekend and wondered why he was single again and still had never realized his dream of adopting a child just as he had once been adopted. Then God brought them together and all the pieces of this puzzle fell into place perfectly. Just the way He had planned all along.

I have $890 in my  FAMILY grant fund towards the cost of my adoption!
